Company Overview

Imagine Valley Churches and other community partners working together to support their neighbors and in the process making positive measurable changes. To achieve this goal, The Narrow Door actively seeks out local church partners and service organizations to become our volunteer base. Currently there are 50 churches and faith based organizations actively involved. Ten of our church partners have taken on special roles by adopting communities. These groups deliver food boxes monthly, start community based Bible studies, provide children's activities as well as clean-up and fix-it projects.

Mission

As ministers of reconciliation, we are to facilitate the reconciliation of men and women to God, to themse
lves, and to society.

Those in need of recovery due to loss of job, home, health, emotional, mental or spiritual support, or physical or substance abuse find themselves drawn to our ministry. We are to facilitate that reconciliation through the available means of this Mission, i.e. food, clothing, shelter, counseling and discipleship. Through these modalities we pave the way for them to be reconciled.
Core Program Purposes

1. Continue the work of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, and serving the spiritual and physical needs of the disadvantaged.
2. Provide for the emergency needs of the impoverished and destitute of the Coachella Valley through shelter and food services, rehabilitation programs, spiritually-based counseling, education, job skills, and transitional living.
3. Inform and involve the public in caring for the needy.

Company Overview

Since 1971, Coachella Valley Rescue Mission has been an oasis and a place of refuge for the displaced and needy in our valley. We are a safe haven, a place of rest for the weary, and a place where daily physical and spiritual needs may be met.

Over the years the mission has continued to meet the ever growing needs of individuals, who for a variety of reasons, have found themselves without the basic necessities of life. A dedicated staff and volunteers serve more than 175,000 hot meals annually and provide shelter to thousands of men and women with children. Food, clothing, and showers are also provided for those who do not shelter with us.

Martha’s Village & Kitchen is one of the largest providers of homeless services in the Coachella Valley working towards a day that everyone in need has food, housing, clothing, healthcare, an education, and the means to remain self-sufficient.

Mission

To serve our neighbors by responding to their needs with food, clothing, shelter and an opportunity to become self-sufficient by affirming their dignity with love, compassion and respect.  When we change one person’s life, we change generations of lives.
